Do you ever find yourself face-to-face with a significant occasion for which you have not adequately prepared? Just when you should be experiencing the fullness and significance of the moment, you find yourself thinking, "I'm not ready for this", "Why don't I feel anything?", or "Why is everyone one connecting with this event except for me?".
For those of us who seek to follow Christ, the most significant day of the calendar year will soon be fast upon us. Easter is set for Sunday, April 16 (maybe it would help if Easter was on the same day every year). Why is this the most crucial day of all? Because, quite simply, if Jesus Christ is not alive, having risen from the dead just as He predicted, then we are wasting our time. Christianity is no better than any other religion or worldview. Thankfully, He did rise from the dead. And that changes everything.
This month we are focusing on the last few days of Jesus' life, including His death and resurrection. Join us each Sunday for a message that will give you a greater understanding and appreciation for the love that knew no boundaries; a love that went all the way to the cross to bring you back from the dead. "What?", you say, "I'm not dead yet. Let's slow down here. I'm certainly in no hurry." Well friend, the Bible shows us that until we come to Christ, we are - more or less - walking dead in our sins and separated from the light and love of God. We find real life only when we really find Jesus. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. So come to Him and live the life you were created to for!
Resurrection Sunday (as many prefer to call Easter) will be here soon. Don't miss it. Start now by turning your heart and mind to Jesus. Take time to consider how much He willingly sacrificed so that you could be set free. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday and helping you grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Grace and Peace,
